BUILDING A BETTER MAMMOTH LAKES
I am dedicated to ensuring Mammoth Lakes remains a vibrant, affordable, and livable community for everyone.
My top priorities are supporting our community, housing for all, responsible development, wildfire prevention, and wildlife management.
A vote for me is a vote for our community, our families, and the future of Mammoth Lakes. I would be honored to serve on Town Council and provide a voice to the hardworking people that call this wonderful place home.
I’ve been a full time resident of Mammoth Lakes for the past 20 years. After graduating from CSULB, I moved here in 2006 and worked at Wave Rave while renting a small one bedroom condo with my girlfriend, Amanda. We got married and were just barely able to purchase a condo. Then we took out loans to buy Anything Goes Fine Catering and truly set up roots here in town. We have successfully owned and operated our business for over 16 years. Over the past 20 years, I have also worked in the fiscal department at the local courthouse, volunteered with Disabled Sports (now Access Mammoth), been property manager for our 20 unit complex, and served as the president on my HOA board for multiple consecutive years. We have two wonderful children who were born here in Mammoth and they attend MUSD schools.
I know firsthand the challenges and benefits of living in Mammoth. I understand the unique needs we face living here, including affordable housing for our workforce, defending our homes from wildfire, proactive wildlife management, livability, and especially balancing our tourism-based economy with residents’ quality of life. I want to protect and support our community while welcoming visitors. By using the tax dollars that visitors pay, we can support our community members, so that our residents pass the joys of Mammoth on to our guests so that we all thrive. I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in, no matter the pressure from special interest groups.
Vote Cory Rice on or before November 3, 2026.
